Jasta 65 Grau Violet, Paint on Linen

Described as close to a slate grey, it may have been unlikely that such a dull colour would be chosen over a slightly more nuanced hue. Sadly, no documentation is published of any findings during U10's botched restoration to help us. It's current, restored finish impossible to judge from photos due to flash photography necessary to see it.

Various airfield pictures show the Sieben Schwaben looking distinctly lighter than other machines of the unit and so Aviattic has gone for a darker variation here.
