Aviattic.co uk - aviattic.com
Both Aviattic.co.uk and Aviattic.com serve customers worldwide, with following noted differences:
- Aviattic.co.uk is UK based and operates in GBP currency
- Aviattic.com is European mainland based and operates in EUR currency.
- Aviattic.com federates affiliated brands into a single comprehensive assortment, whereas Aviattic.co.uk offers the Aviattic product range only.
- Some products (e.g. Pfalz D.VIII) is only available for ordering on Aviattic.co uk. Aviattic.com provides a link to the specific page on the UK site.
- Both sites run on a different e-commerce platform and therefore offer a different user experience.
Both Aviattic.co.uk and Aviattic.com serve customers worldwide, giving you WWI aviation fans more choices (*) to find what you need.
(*) In terms of assortment, there is a difference in that affiliated brands are only available on Aviattic.com (until further notice). Pfalz D.VIII is only available for order at Aviattic.co.uk
For UK based customers, it will probably make more sense to order @ Aviattic.co.uk, just as for EU customers, Aviattic.com solves the Brexit hassle, but ultimately there is a freedom of choice.
Yes it is planned to migrate Aviattic.co.uk to the same e-commerce technology. This is planned before the end of 2023.
This is not planned for the moment, but might be considered for the future.
Ordering
All prices shown are inclusive of VAT. This is a mandatory requirement operating out of the EU.
In line with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and the EU Digital Market Act (DMA), EU customers are charged with VAT. We remit this VAT using the OSS (One Stop Shopping) service mechanism.
For private customers outside the EU we are also obliged to charge products incl of VAT. The VAT amount is also to be remitted to Agencies.
Until further notice, this is not possible. Once can only register as a private account (consumer)
Once an order is registered upon checkout and payment, it can no longer be changed or cancelled. You can contact us in which case we can see how your request can be resolved. For example, if you forgot something in your order, you can contact us and we will send you a free shipping discount code, so that you don't have to pay shipping costs unnecessarily twice.
Delivery time depends on your location as well as the carrier service, which is outside of our control.
Upon order registration you get a confirmation by e-mail. Orders are processed at best efforts, usually within 1-2 business workdays.
In case of insufficient stock (for unrestricted stock items - see inventory section), we will contact you accordingly.
Once shipment is ready, you will be informed with a shipment notice by email.
Yes, in the shopping bag you can add an order note.
As mentioned in the inventory section, some products are defined as unrestricted stock items. They allow you to order more than what is available. The stock information already indicates the replenishment lead time to help you decide if it is worthwhile waiting or not.
In the even that you have ordered more than the available stock, we will keep you informed as products are replenished.
Inventory
We make a distinction between unrestricted and restricted stock items.
Unrestricted stock items can be added to the cart even if the stock is insufficient. Restricted stock items can only be ordered until the stock is depleted.
Both items indicate stock level, either the exact stock when the stock level is below 5, or a "More than 5" stock level indicator
The stock item type is mentioned in the product information section on the product detail page.
For unrestricted stock items, the ADD TO CART button will always be enabled, even when there is insufficient or no stock to fulfil your order.
An indicative replenishment lead time is displayed to help you make the decision to either add the desired order quantity to your shopping bag, if you have the time to wait, or to limit the order quantity to what is in stock for the moment.
The stock item type is mentioned in the product information section on the product detail page.
The ADD TO CART button will be disabled if there is no stock. One can only order up to the current stock level.
On collection pages, the product will also show a SOLD OUT badge if there is no stock.
Shipping
Yes, we do ship all over the world, with the exception of some suspect countries. (e.g., North Korea, Yemen, ... )
We have done extensive analysis of available shipping carriers and the conditions they provide, in order to make shipping for you in today's world as economical as possible.
Analysis shows that the total weight of the order is the best mechanism to accurately calculate shipping costs and select the most economical carrier for a certain weight class. In some cases you even have the choice between several options.
Shipping costs vary considerably per country, per carrier and per weight class. Adopting an overall cushioned shipping rate would have been convenient, but goes against our belief that shipping should not be a source of income. Instead, we have fine-tuned the shipping conditions per group of countries and in some cases even per individual country in order to approximate the carrier's rates as closely as possible.
It is therefore difficult to present this in a convenient overall table. We do have a much better solution for that, which is further explained in the next question.
Yes you can, upfront and transparent before checkout.
All you need to do is use the Estimate Shipping function which is available for use at the bottom of the Shopping Bag page, as soon as there are items in your shopping bag.
Based on your country (and when applicable your postal code), this function calculates your exact shipping cost based on the actual contents of your shopping bag.
Shopping bag totals include a display of the total weight of the items in your shopping bag (excluding packaging). Inclusive of packaging you need to add 100g.
Based on our analysis of available carriers and the conditions they provide, we have selected following shipping carriers:
- Bpost (Belgium)
- PostNL (standard carrier worldwide)
- DPD (alternative solution for certain European countries)(*)
(*) DPD offers advantageous rates for heavier packages. For some countries you can choose between Home Delivery and Drop Off at a Pick-up Point near your address. In such case DPD Pick-Up Point is usually significantly cheaper.
All shipping is done with track & trace. As soon as your order is ready for shipping, you will get notice by email with the respective tracking number.
Yes, we offer free shipping worldwide when the net order amount reaches 150€ or higher.
Net order amount is the order amount including possible discounts that apply.
The shopping bag page shows the amount you still need to order to reach the free shipping limit.
Patreon
Yes, Patrons qualify for a discount respective to their Aviattic Patreon status. The conditions are applicable to the Aviattic product range only.
You can enter the appropriate discount at check-out. Following codes are available for Patrons depending on their Patreon status:
- Ground Crew: GROUNDCREW21
- Wingman: WINGMAN21
- Ace: ACE21
- Legend: LEGEND21
Patreon conditions apply to the Aviattic product range only.
This can have two reasons:
- You have entered the wrong discount code. Patreon discount codes are assigned to customers depending on their Patreon status. (e.g. a Ground Crew Patron can only use GROUNDCREW21)
- You have not been assigned a Patreon status yet in our records. Whereas we try to update our records based on Patreon, it can happen that they have not been processed in time. Contact us and we will try to fix this.
