Büchner Blue, Paint on Linen

Blues, of any shade, famously show as a surprisingly light colour in photographs using various types of film stock available during WW1. Virtually impossible to judge, many try using the simplistic greyscale theories still argued over today, even the great Peter Grosz accepted defeat on the subject of determining accurate colour callouts from period photographs.
