1/32 - Roden - Sopwith 1 & 1/2 Strutter - A8286

Three full-size sheet decal set depicting A8286, based on a photograph alongside several Armstrong Whitworth FK3s. 

A8286 had conspicuous checkerboard markings on the sides of the forward fuselage. The white-edged blue band behind the roundel is probably a Training Depot Station marking, assumingly of a Scampton based unit.

Dave Hooper's take on A8286:

"A8286 was an operational aircraft which at the time it was photographed in a chequerboard scheme was probably being used as a trainer. Unlike some trainers, A8286 appears to have retained the scarff ring and Lewis gun. Cowling appears aluminium finish, side cowlings losing their PC10 enamel paint or, simply, dirty!"
